Information We Collect
- Calculator inputs: Data you enter into our calculators (salary, age, service years) is processed entirely in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This includes anonymized data about page views and interactions.
- FedShot: If you use FedShot, your uploaded photo is processed by Google Gemini AI. Photos are not stored after processing completes.
How We Use Information
- To provide and improve our calculators and tools
- To understand usage patterns and improve user experience
- To process FedShot headshot requests
What We Don't Do
- We never sell your personal information to third parties
- We don't store your calculator inputs on our servers
Advertising
We display advertisements on our blog, resource, calculator, and data pages. Ad serving on this site is managed by Ezoic, which works with advertising partners (including Google AdSense through mediation) that may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. Ezoic's full advertising and data disclosures for this site are available at g.ezoic.net/privacy/fedtools.com. You can manage Google ad personalization through Google's Ad Settings, and consent choices via the on-site consent banner.
The FedShot headshot generator does not display third-party advertisements.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
We partner with Journey by Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising on our blog, resource, calculator, and data pages. Journey and its advertising partners serve advertisements when you visit our site and may use first-party and third-party cookies, tags, pixels, and similar technologies to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. You can block first-party and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache through your internet browser's settings.
The website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
