OPM has posted the 2027 FEDVIP premiums, and we compared every plan, region and enrollment type against the 2026 files. The average move is small: OPM says dental premiums rise 1.0% and vision 1.6% on average. Underneath that average, seven dental options hold their 2026 prices, four get cheaper, and a few rise 6% to 8%.

Open Season for 2027 coverage runs November 9 through December 14, 2026. FEDVIP changes are due by 11

pm Eastern on Monday, December 14, and take effect January 1, 2027.

How We Built These Numbers

Changes are computed from OPM's own 2026 and 2027 FEDVIP premium files (the dental and vision rate workbooks on OPM's Plan Premiums page, retrieved November 1, 2026). We matched each plan option, rating region and enrollment type across the two years. Every 2026 row has a 2027 match: 103 dental plan-region rows and 10 vision rows.

Your dental premium depends on your rating region, which is set by your ZIP code. The same GEHA Connection High plan costs $18.97 to $28.23 biweekly for Self Only, depending on the region. That is why the dental table below shows ranges. Vision premiums are the same everywhere.
